My Traveling Buddy

I'd like to introduce you all to one of my traveling companions, Dakota!

Dakota is an 15 year old boy husky mutt who loves accompanying me on my adventures; he also loves getting in the way of my shots from time to time (lucky me!).

Lake Isaac Trek

This week's weather can't seem to make up it's mind; a few days ago it was in the 60's and today it was  well below freezing (not that I am complaining!)

Took these shots on a quick stroll around Lake Isaac the other night.  Not to much wildlife out, but who can blame the animals with such screwy weather.

Angry Squirrel

Came across a pair of  tree squirrels in the park the other day and thought I got a few good shots.

Please Help Identify this Bird!

So I'm not a bird guy.  Not that I don't like birds, I just don't know a darn about them.  That being said I was hoping someone could help me figure out what I have here.

This little fellow was in a tree overhanging my driveway early this week and making quite a racket.  I am guessing he is some type of hawk, but I can't be sure. Any help identifying this species would be appreciated!

p.s. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, I was in kind of a rush!
